Today's observation: Throughout all of human history, up to very recent times, human beings had to struggle to survive. Human life has always been primarily concerned with the search for food and shelter and securing a safe environment that would allow our children to get to adulthood. Today, when we have financial worries, we assume something is wrong. This is not the way life is supposed to be. It is an aberration, a mistake of some kind, if we have to struggle a bit to put food on the table, or to make rent.
How fortunate we are to live in a time and place that allows us the luxury to hold those assumptions.
